Mark's degree of self-awareness by the end *is* a little implausible, but he's never *really* been a mystery to himself.  Awareness of psychological problems doesn't make them non-existent.  

Now, Cordelia's depth of psychological insight sometimes throws me a little, and I'd like to see more between her and Gregor.

Excuse me, I have to go and shoot a plot bunny.

I maintain that Mirror Dance combines character and space opera to a beautiful degree.  And as for Ivan -- well, you'll have to fight me for him.
