If by "emulates the eps" you mean "tells a story," then yes, I want fic that emulates the eps. That's not what I'd mean by emulating episodes, though. Writing something that could actually be an episode is a lot more work than just writing a story where something happens. A story isn't a story unless something happens. Plot is a necessity, not an option.

I'm also not indifferent to how the characters feel. However, sitting there and dictating explicitly how much angst Jack feels is not telling a story. That's the rule of show don't tell. To show how someone feels you have to have express it in a situation, not in a constant internal monologue relating previous episodes and explicit sentiments of angst.

Ok, I see the fundamental problem in my fic recs to you. While you want fic that emulates the eps, I want to know the feelings that are happening during and around the eps. If the team never goes through the gate in the fics, I don't care, just so I can find out something more about how the characters feel. That doesn't matter to you, so I will have to look for Plot!Fics.

Just cause I like feelings stories doesnt' mean I don't like plot. I do. I just need to rearrange how I look for stories for you.

Fic recs will be coming up (as soon as I find some)
