A drabble coda to "Fire and Water".

No dough, no foul.

The quote from Enuma Elish (fourth tablet) is taken from the 1902 L.W. King translation (http://www.sacred-texts.com/ane/enuma.htm).

Thanks to Jerie for making it possible.

"What did Flipper want?" O'Neill asked.

Daniel got that distant look in his eyes that meant Jack was about to find out more than he wanted to know. "Nem was looking for Omoroca - the Babylonian dragon goddess Tiamat. The epic Enuma Elish tells how she led a rebellion against the gods, but was slain by Marduk, also known as Belos or Baal." Daniel quoted, "'He split her up like a flat fish into two halves'--"

"Marduk filleted her?" Jack couldn't help chuckling.

"It's not funny! Omoroca was Nem's wife and a Goa'uld killed her."

It was an old, old story.
