A drabble coda to "Redemption Part 1."

No dough, no foul.

Thanks to Jerie for making it possible.

I found my son sitting on the steps of the stargate, well within its blast radius. He cared not that a wormhole might open at any moment, killing him instantly. Is death better than this life we lead, this hopeless war that slew his mother?

Perhaps, for I sat down beside him to console him, to reassure him of my faith. I believe not in false gods but in true Jaffa. I know not how long we sat there; had a wormhole formed, we would have died content.

Instead, Shaq'rel came by ship, calling us back to the battle.
