I heard he penned a good fic,
I heard he had a style
And so I found his web page
To read a little while.
And there he was, this author,
A stranger to my cache...

Strumming my muse with his keyboard,
Stealing my plot with his words.
Killing me softly with his fic,
Killing me softly with his fic.
Telling my stories with his words,
Killing me softly with his fic.

I felt just like a newbie,
Even my muse was wowed;
I felt he'd found my stories and
Laughed at them out loud.
I thought that he might falter
But he just wrote right on...

Strumming my muse with his keyboard,
Stealing my plot with his words.
Killing me softly with his fic,
Killing me softly with his fic.
Telling my stories with his words,
Killing me softly with his fic.

He posted fic to ASC,
Such tales I'd hope to style,
And then he skimmed right past me,
Like I'm in his kill-file.
But he was there this stranger,
Writing clear and strong...

Strumming my muse with his keyboard,
Stealing my plot with his words.
Killing me softly with his fic,
Killing me softly with his fic.
Telling my stories with his words,
Killing me softly with his fic.
